Our New Life

         Since the big move our lives have changed dramatically. We are enjoying it so much. Travis is so excited; he no longer has to sleep on the couch in the living room but in bed in his room. I am so glad he is happy! Walter Lee has become more of a man since we've lived in the new house, like Mama said "it makes a difference in a man when he can walk on floors that belong to him..." it truly has made a difference, he is more calm, relaxed and being more friendly toward everyone. He is working hard and extra hours to get back the money he lost. Beneatha has decided to marry Asagai and move to Africa with him to become a doctor. Although Mama and myself didn't really support this decision we decided that if Beneatha is happy we are happy and that is what matters most, happiness. Lena has fallen in love the gardening tools we gave her; whenever I can't find her in our big house I know where to go. She's planting so many vegetables I cannot wait to cook with them on the beautiful new stove. This new home has brought us so much happiness. There have been a few incidents with the neighbors calling the police because they don't feel safe or comfortable. There has also been a little bit of vandalism to the front lawn that Travis loves to play but we are working it out now and Walter is fixing it. I love this new house and I am so excited to be having my baby here, I never want this experience to end, my dream has come true.
